One year ago today
Valentine's Day
On this day which is known as Valentine’s day
A day in which lovers celebrate in their own way
Is a day which I will now remember with sadness
my love
As one year ago on this day you left me for a life
up above
We let you go so you could be pain free
Cindy my darling, how hard that was for me
Words cannot describe how we all miss you so
Our little family has lost it’s rock which I am sure
you know
Our children, Olivia and Danny whom we both
adore
Try to be brave and I try to be a good dad and a
little bit more
I try to compensate for you not being here with us
Doing all the things with ease and little fuss
You left a legacy for the world and me
In our two children and for the future to see
I hope you can look in from your cloud up above
To see how much you are missed and loved
So on this day set for lovers and the day you left me
Please look down at your family to see
Darren, your husband, trying his very best
Although at times sadness makes it a hard test
We miss you Cindy so very very much
But our hearts you will always reach and touch.

HAPPY 15th ANNIVERSARY
October 7, 2015
(The Crystal Anniversary)
My Love
Would I choose to wed you again?
A million times "Yes" my love
Could anyone else ever take your place
Never, never my love
The years we shared do I regret a one?
Never a minute's regret my love
Would I live them over given the choice?
Over and over my love
Do I feel a void now that we are apart?
Yes - a piece is missing from my heart
So 'till we meet again my darling love
I will look for you in the clouds above

HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY
July 17, 2015
Today is your 50th birthday, my
darling wife.
I celebrate it even though you are
no longer living this life.
You fought so hard and bore so much,
But in the life you lived, I know, so
many people’s lives you touched.
Two wonderful children you gave to me
I try my best to be a good parent,
as you would want me to be.
I hear your voice and remember the
things you would do,
and I try very hard to do things the
way you would want me to.
It’s not always easy and sometimes
I struggle real hard,
and curse life for dealing us
this very black card.
But the years we spent together I
treasure and I am thankful for.
Even though I would of liked us
to have had a few years more.
So on this your half century birthday,
my love, I hope you are looking down
from your cloud up above.
So you can see how much you are still
loved and missed every day.
My darling wife
I wish you a wonderful
50th birthday

Obituary
Cynthia (Cindy) Schatz
July 17, 1965 – February 14, 2015
Cynthia Ann Seraphim Hartman (Cindy) Schatz (nee Hepple), beloved wife and mother, passed away at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the age of 49. It is with the deepest sadness that we announce Cindy's passing after a long, brutal battle with a rare and very aggressive form of cancer that saw her family temporarily relocate to Saskatoon. Cindy was a true warrior and fought to the bitter end to remain on this earth for her family, always her top priority. Cindy was born on July 17, 1965 in Fredericton, NB into a military family. She lived with her family at different postings across Canada, and even in adulthood she never quite lost the urge to travel and explore new places. Nokomis, SK was her home for the past couple years. Cindy is survived by her husband Darren and their two children, 11 year old Olivia, and 8 year old Daniel; her brother Jeff (Tina) Hepple of Lethbridge, AB; sister-in-law Cheryl (Tony) Schmidt of Nokomis, SK; brother-in-law Brian (Cindy) Schatz of Young, SK; her best friend and 'sister' Yvonne DesRoches of Lethbridge AB; and numerous nieces and nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Cindy was predeceased by her birth father Seraphim Hartman of Manning, AB; parents June and Alan Hepple of Lethbridge, AB; grandparents; and some aunts, uncles, and cousins. Special thank you's to Cheryl, Tony and Derrick Schmidt of Nokomis, SK; Dr. Mark Bosch, and Renee Stuckel and staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre; to the nurses of the Stem Cell Transplant unit at Royal University Hospital; and to Telemiracle for recently providing temporary housing in Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a memorial donation towards Olivia and Daniel's education, by sending a cheque to the 'Town of Nokomis', Box 189, Nokomis, SK, S0G 3R0 (receipts will be issued). A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Martens Warman Funeral Home in Warman, SK. Those able to attend are encouraged to wear something pink in memory of Cindy.
